New Delhi, June 11: Bajaj Auto, the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, has decided to postpone the launch of its much-anticipated Bajaj CNG bike to July 17, which was earlier fixed for June 18. The Bajaj CNG bike will likely to be named as “Bajaj Fighter” and it is the world’s first motorcycle to run on CNG. The new initiative by Bajaj Auto might be intended to appeal to budget-conscious customers looking for more affordable and environmentally friendly transportation options. New Delhi, June 11: Tata is set to launch four electric cars by FY26 and bring customers the latest technologies and modern features. Tata electric vehicles (EVs) have been available in the Indian market at lower prices than the competition with much desired features. According to recent reports, Tata Motors has been working on expanding its EV charging network and introducing new models like Tata Harrier EV, Tata Sierra EV, Tata Curvv EV, and Tata Avniya EV. As per a new report, the launch timeline of these models has been announced.

The report also hinted at a quad-motor setup in the works.

New Delhi, June 9: Experts have used artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as Google Street View (GSV) that offer 360-degree views of streets, to determine key environmental elements impacting car-related collisions, and cyclist & pedestrian-related accidents.

In the study published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) of Injury Prevention, experts used GSV to find the link between car accidents and the built environment in locations where crashes occur. Nguyen and her team discovered that sidewalks had the most significant impact on reducing crashes. Areas with more sidewalks experienced 70 per cent fewer traffic accidents, and places with single-lane roads, which are often found in rural areas, had 50 per cent fewer accidents.

For pedestrians and cyclists, street lights and stop signs provided more safety, as they were associated with fewer car accidents involving either group. New Delhi, June 9: BMW is reportedly planning to launch its new 2024 BMW 5 Series soon in India. The next-gen BMW 5 Series is expected to be a new iteration of a luxury mid-size saloon. BMW India is focusing on selling electric vehicles along with petrol and diesel-based variants; however, a report said that ICE variants would still have to reach the showrooms.

The BMW 5-series was revealed last year in the global market, according to a report by NDTV. The other trim, the BMW 520d, is expected to have a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine. The report mentioned that there would be an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard for both the cars in the series. The report mentioned that the upcoming car’s design would likely match the 7-Series Saloon’s cues. New Delhi, June 6: The government on Thursday said that it provided financial assistance to Pune-based firm Krishigati for EV technology called ‘Electric Bull’ in intercultural farming operations.

Mumbai, June 8: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has voluntarily recalled the flagship electric vehicle, the Ioniq 5, due to a faulty part. Over 1700 units of the flagship EV are affected by the recall due to a potential issue with the integrated charging control unit (ICCU). This recall has affected the EVs produced between January 2023 and April 2024. It’s worth noting that the integrated charging unit (ICCU) essentially helps power electronic components like AC, infotainment and seat ventilation in the electric vehicle. The South Korean automaker will fix the potential issue free of cost for the affected Ioniq 5 customers. The brand will reach the customers to inspect the vehicle at authorized dealerships.
